Top Highlights of Dreamforce’22
Last week, Salesforce wrapped up its 20th grand Annual event: Dreamforce. The keynote titled “The Great Reunion” was delivered with great energy. Salesforce shared its big ideas for the future, including new ‘Digital Transformation’, ‘Climate Accountability’, and ‘Future of Work’. Here we are, discussing them all in detail, so let’s get started.
Salesforce Genie: “A new day for customer magic.”
Salesforce Genie is a hyperscale real-time data platform that drives the entire Salesforce Customer 360 platform. Genie transforms data into customer magic, producing seamless, personalized experiences in sales, service, marketing & commerce that adapt in real-time to customer information and needs.
Each customer gets a single, clean record, and It consolidates all the identities for each customer across the hundreds of apps your organization uses (976, on average). Hyperscale personalization is made possible by it.
Genie is Powering Dreamforce:
With AWS: A new integration b/w the Salesforce Platform & Amazon SageMaker will allow customers to use SageMaker, AWS’s machine learning (ML) modeling service, with Einstein, Salesforce’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology, to construct new AI models that can be used in real-time all over Customer 360.
With WhatsApp: With WhatsApp: Salesforce will deliver WhatsApp-first business messaging to customers as a fresh way to sell, market, & support straight from a conversation. By doing so, Salesforce will boost customer engagement, rev sales, and push better customer support.
With McKinsey: This integration will link McKinsey’s strategic understanding and profound transformation abilities with Salesforce, fostering what customers are demanding: more channels, utility, convenience, along with personalized experiences.
With Snowflake (unveiled on 15 Sept): New zero-copy data-sharing innovations will facilitate customers and they will be able to open more value from their data and securely collaborate in real-time between Salesforce Customer Data Platform and Snowflake.
Salesforce New Automation Product Suite (unveiled on 14 Sept):
Flow for Industries (unveiled on 14 Sept): With Salesforce’s new automation product suite, industries can boost productivity and efficiency. The add-on to the Flow product suite, It uses automation to grow financial services, healthcare & manufacturing orgs with low-code tools.
State of Service Report 5th Edition (unveiled on 8 Sept): Salesforce surveyed over 8,000+ customer service professionals in 36 countries to evaluate the state of the profession, And, it comes out that due to the rising customer expectations for quick issue resolution, 78% of service agents are frustrated by the increasing challenges of balancing quality and speed. Automation is a big help here. A majority of service organizations (98%) surveyed that use automation, reports that it has saved significant amounts of time.
Net Zero Cloud Marketplace
With Salesforce’s Net Zero Marketplace, carbon credits will be purchased easily and transparently. Powered by the Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Net Zero Marketplace links buyers and ecopreneurs, offering a catalog of projects with an easy-peasy e-commerce experience for purchasing them. Initially available in the US in October 2022, Net Zero Marketplace will expand to more markets by 2023.
Ocean Research Program
This year, Salesforce is expanding its ocean research program, which protects endangered whales, battles plastic pollution, and monitors ocean health with artificial intelligence.
The “Great Reforestation”
By conserving, restoring, and growing 1 trillion trees by 2030, the goal is to sequester 200 gigatons of carbon with 1t.org.
Sustainability Talent Gap Research (unveiled on 14 Sept)
Whether it’s carbon accountants, scientists, or ecopreneurs, we need a cadre of professionals working together to control emissions. According to Salesforce researchers, even though employees wish to contribute to combating climate change, their companies do not provide adequate roles, training, and tools to enable them to do so.

Innovations in Slack
Working together in Slack is now even more productive, Slack Canvas offers teams a new surface to capture knowledge and share it, and Salesforce Customer 360 data can now be accessed in Slack and acted upon directly. Among the additional Slack huddle features are video, multi-person screen sharing, message threads, and more.
Slack Partner Industry Solutions (unveiled on 15 Sept)
Slack and Salesforce are launching industry-specific Slack solutions. In this first wave, financial services, manufacturing, communications, retail, media, and technology customers will get strategic guidance from partners to bring their digital HQ to life.
New ‘Hire Me’ Button (unveiled on 15 Sept)
Salesforce heightens its priority on workforce growth. A new Hire Me button will be added to the Trailblazer.me profile to assist in preparing 20,000 fresh Trailblazers for careers in the Salesforce ecosystem by 2028. The button will be open for all in winter 2022.
